Mumma Bear Critter care provides services to Warburton and surrounds - East Warburton, Millgrove, Wesburn, Gladysdale, Yarra Junction and Launching Place.

Home Visits

Life often gets in the way, sometimes for good reasons such as a holiday or visiting others but there's times where we are tied to long days at work, medical appointments or other commitments that take us away from our pets and we just need a little extra help.

Senior pets, pets with anxiety or behavioural issues and pets susceptible to illnesses do much better staying at home than bundling them off to boarding facilities, whilst other pets such as horses or goats or chickens (you get the idea) are not so easily transported for looking after nor may they want to be. 

At a home visit, I will feed your pet, clean up after them and set them up for the day or night as per your instructions.  We can tailor a visit to what your pet prefers - I can take them for a short walk or alternate with some playtime in your yard, all within the booking time frame.

For pets that are anxious or for those shy hidey cats, I will spend time just sitting quietly after all chores are complete so that they feel there is someone looking out for them.

Being a qualified veterinary nurse I am able to medicate if required from administering injections for diabetic animals to ear/eye drops, applying creams, tableting and administering SQ fluids. Having a qualified and experienced vet nurse is imperative to ensure that your pet receives the right dose of medication with no margin for error. There may be an extra charge for this.

All visits include a photo and brief update either texted or emailed to you for reassurance.

PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT able to board pets in my own home and I'm unable to offer overnight stays at the moment

Home Care Vet Nurse Visit Rates:

15 Minutes (Warburton only) – $20 (applicable for fish, reptiles, quick visits at my discretion)

30 Minutes - $35 (single or 2 pets)

60 Minutes - $65 (single or 2 pets)

Comprehensive or Multi Pets Care visits - (applicable for medication administration and or care for more than 2 pets) is for 40 minutes - $50 

Being a Vet Nurse I am able to safely administer injections, eye drops, ear drops, tableting, trans-dermal medications, subcutaneous fluids, syringe feeding.

Same day second visit incurs a $5 discount (excluding short 15min visit)

5% Discount for long term bookings over 28 days

Walks 

Physical exercise and stimulation are so important for your dog. If you are finding it hard to fit that walk in for your puppa's I can do it for you.

We offer dog walking from one offs to regular bookings in varying time blocks. Walks are tailored to suit every ability, we even offer jogging for those active working dog breeds. If your dog suffers from arthritis or injury, I will make sure that our walks are gentle and low impact with plenty of sniffing time or breaks and I will be ever mindful of uneven surfaces and hills that may place undue stress on your puppa.

 We are spoilt for choice up here in the Upper Yarra Valley with so many quiet surrounds or if your dog prefers the social aspect of a shopping strip I'm sure we may accommodate that into a walk too. (location/time dependent)

Your dog’s safety is my number one priority. We prefer to always walk on lead/harness. A GPS TRACKER can be fitted to your dogs collar for the duration of the walk if you prefer. We will walk in all weather - rain hail or shine unless its deemed to be too dangerous or distressful for your dog.  I ensure that we will both have a safe and enjoyable time.

Walks Rates:

20 Minutes - $20 (Warburton only)

30 Minutes – $30 

45 Minutes - $42

60 Minutes - $48

Additional dogs $10 extra
